Choosing the Perfect Baby Crib Bedding

Finding the Perfect Baby Bedding

Before I go any further, I would like to bring up a point that many parents overlook. Crib bedding (especially baby girl bedding!) can be the most important part of the nursery. Just keep in mind that baby bedding has been the cause of crib suffocation for some infants. To prevent this, it's advised to use a firm mattress with tight-fitting sheets. Be sure you empty the crib of anything soft or fluffy - like pillows or loose bedding - before you put your baby in. Newborns should be dressed warmly rather than covering them with blankets.

Most parents choose to buy a bedding set, because they get all the coordinated bedding in one package. As I'm sure you've already realized, there are an anstonishing number of themes to choose from, including paisley print crib bedding. With so many choices, you should be able to find any theme you want.

After you've got an idea of what you're looking for, then start your search for nursery bedding. What theme have you chosen? Are you planning on a bassinet or cradle instead of a crib? Will your bedding clash with the wall color? Even before you start looking for bedding, you should already know the answers to these questions.

Quite honestly, the best place to buy bedding these days is online. By taking a look at a number of reatilers, you'll find a staggering range of choices. Searching for a deal is critical, otherwise everything will cost you an arm and a leg. Despite public perception, departments stores usually do not have better prices than online - in fact, it's usually the reverse. It's simple to compare the prices online and offline, but you can save yourself a trip to the local department store if you like - prices offline are almost always higher than online.
